What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this TireMinder tire pressure sensor. So, this is gonna be a replacement for one that broke or got lost, or if you're adding an additional one to your system. Let's check it out. So, this is gonna be a flow through tire pressure sensor. I really like that aspect of it, that you can unthread the cap and fill up the tire with this still on here.
On the other TireMinder versions they don't have that, so you'd have to completely remove the sensor every time you need to put air in the tire, which not that big a deal to unthread it but still, it's easier just to leave it on there and check out your monitor to see how much air is in the tire. So, you're gonna unthread the cap here. You're gonna get a battery with this, it's gonna come in a quantity of two so you get two batteries and two sensors. You're gonna slide that battery in there. That's what activates it.
Thread that back on and now, you can use the app on your phone or the monitor to add the new sensor in, to add it to what tire you want it on. Now, with the two transmitters you're gonna get two locking nuts that thread onto the valve as well. And that's gonna help somebody not just take it off the valve when you're not around. You need a special tool to do it. So, we'll get that threaded on first, then thread on the transmitter, then bring the nut up to the transmitter, and then give it a couple turns with the special tool.
And now, you can't unthread. Now, these flow through tire pressure sensors are gonna work with TM76FR, TM86FR, TM38FR, and TM98FR. Now, with the battery in here, it says it can last from nine to 14 months. You're not gonna worry about it for a while and we also do sell the spare batteries for the sensor, so you can pick those up on our website just in case. Overall, I like how easy it is to add an additional sensor or replace one on your system.
Also, the flow through is really nice so I don't have to unthread this every time. I just remove the cap to add the air and monitor it as I'm doing that. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helps.

I bought 6 tire sensors total, Five worked well but the sixth had a persistent slow leak.I intend to replace all six with regular sensors (not the flow through versions).

The sensors work great and Etrailer's price and shipping are hard to beat.
I bought the system through another vender and purchased these as extra. The sensors themselves are good. I've had issues with the system losing signal primarily from the front wheels. Every trip I've taken, when traveling at highway speeds, the front sensors lose signal. I've moved the amplifier forward and it improved from the initial location but still loses signal.

Fantastic! I can fill with the TPMS reading right on my monitor as I fill. Saves tie. And having to remove the TPMS check with a tire gauge reinstall TPMS or adjust pressure again, check again, etc…

These are a must have for seasonal trailers, pairs well with a portable battery tire inflator.

Needed to replace one Just what I ne eded
Purchased these with the Tireminder. One has a slow leak. Verified by swapping to another tire. The leak follows the sensor.

Arrived quickly and exactly as ordered!
They work as advertised but occasionally alarm with a pressure of zero when the tires are at needed pressure. They also occasionally lose the signal and it takes a while to repost. Most of the time I reboot and within 5 minutes they show the pressure again. I have sensors on all 4 trailer and 4 truck tires.
They work great on my inside rear dual tires. A little difficult
to install through the wheel hole. I then use a nut driver to remove the valve cap and replace it. You’ll need a long
truck/tractor type air chuck. They totally eliminate the problem with valve stem extension leaking, getting bent on
running on duals. I like to keep spare sensors of regular and the flow through, and these are my spares. I have around
7 thousand miles on my original with no problems.

After a year, still problems or issues. I would definitely recommend and I would purchase again.
As usual etrailer provided outstanding customer service. While I (like a lot of people end up buying on Amazon), I choose etrailer as my “go to” for important RV needs. I purchased a new set of Tireminder sensors and they were easy to install and setup, but just in case, etrailer sent a link for installation. Great product and great company (etrailer).

Oh no, that is not good at all. I wouldn't necessarily rule out flow through sensors quite yet. It could definitely be a defective sensor, and these do have a three year warranty. Let me get you over to our customer service department for them to look into a warranty for you.
